KS1, KS2 & KS3 Preferences
iTRACK has been designed to be extremely flexible. As a result, there are many different preferences you may wish to include/exclude. Here you will find a detailed explanation for all of them, allowing you to customise your account to suit your requirements.
Firstly, head to the School Settings page and click on the KS1-KS3 tab.
Please note: Once you have finished setting up your preferences, you MUST press SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the page.
Number of Assessment Points
This allows you to choose how many times a year you would like to make an assessment - whether it be termly (3), half termly (6), or anywhere in between (4-5). If you would like a Baseline assessment, there is a separate preference for that directly below.
Please note: Reducing the number of assessment points can result in data loss. A warning will be displayed before you do this and a backup will be taken prior to the preference being applied.
Yearly Baseline
You can enable an additional term to set a baseline for each year. By default this will be disabled.
Assessment Type
AWL-style Assessments will calculate the overall subject based on the assessment standard inputted by staff.
Numeric Assessments allows you to track using numeric values for each area of subject. By giving a maximum points value, iTRACK will calculate the percentage the pupil has achieved and calculate the overall subject accordingly.
If you require more information on this, please do not hesitate to contact your local Education Consultant.
Assessment Mode
Full Mode is where the subjects within iTRACK contain all the components and objectives (e.g. Reading: Reading Word & Comprehension or Maths: Addition & Subtraction etc). This allows for comprehensive data entry and analysis.
Lite Mode is the simplified version, which strips away all of the components and objectives and leaves you with just a 'Maths' data entry point.
Please note: Switching from Full Mode to Lite Mode can result in data loss. A warning will be displayed before you do this and a backup will be taken prior to the preference being applied.
Assessment Standards
iTRACK is flexible and can allow you to have anywhere between 3 and 8, fully customisable assessment standards. For more detailed information about this, please see the following article: iTRACK Assessment Standards.
Free Text Result
You can add a 'free form' column to your 'Enter Pupil Results' page. It can contain text or numerical values (although has a limited character number). This is great if you wish to give an additional grade/score for additional areas, like behaviour or effort for example. Full Title is the full name, Short Title is what will appear in the column heading itself on iTRACK (usually an abbreviation).
Statements Library
When ticking objectives in iTRACK, you have the option to track against the DfE Programme of Study Statements or the NAHT-KPI statements. By default, these are set to the DfE Programme of Study. It is also possible to edit these statements using the statement editor, help for which can be found here: Statement Editor
Please note: Switching between the DfE and NAHT statements can result in data loss. Any assessments made against each statement will be lost when switching libraries. A warning will be displayed before you do this and a backup will be taken prior to the preference being applied.
Statement Evidence
With this feature being enabled, when an objective/statement is ticked in 'Full Assign' on 'Enter Pupil Results', you will see the option to upload a piece of supporting evidence. Disable will remove this functionality.
Inline Statements
When using the Gap Analysis page, you can choose how you would like your statements to export:
Short codes with appendix will export your objectives as shown on the page, with the key for the statement codes on a separate sheet.
Verbatim, without appendix will export your statements, however it will replace to code with the the full objective at the top of the Excel document.
Dashboard Pupil Counts
This feature lets you display or hide the pupil count (number in brackets) when you export data from the Dashboard pages.
Target Setting Options
When setting targets within iTRACK, it is possible to use the system to automatically project forward targets for later years. By default this feature is enabled, but can be turned off here to set all targets manually.
Additional Assessments
This toggle allows you to enable the display and entry of a numerical additional assessment on the 'Enter Pupil Results' page, which is ideal for external/supplementary test scores. You can also disable the column here.
Renaming Additional Assessments
You can use the textboxes to rename your Additional Assessment column. An example of this would be 'Test Score' if you were using the column to track supplementary test data.
Progress Measurements
You can include 'Outstanding' in the Progress Measure if required by selecting include. This feature will be visible on the 'Progress Dashboard' and 'Progress Tracking' pages, and represents '1 step more than Very Good Progress'. The default setting is to not include this Progress value.
Save Changes
You must click Save Changes at the bottom of the page to apply any changes to your preferences.

EYFS Preferences
iTRACK has been designed to be extremely flexible. As a result, there are many different preferences you may wish to include/exclude. Here you will find a detailed explanation for all of them, allowing you to customise your account to suit your requirements.
Firstly, head to the School Settings page and click on the Foundation tab.
Please note: Once you have finished setting up your preferences, you MUST press SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the page.
EYFS Libraries
Here you can choose which EYFS curriculum you wish to use. Original will select the original curriculum with all the age bands, Early Adopters will select the Early Adopters framework, and both will give you the option in iTRACK to flick between both curriculums. Throughout the EYFS section, you will have a 'Library' dropdown appear where you can select either curriculum.
Profile Builder Library
(This will only appear when you have enabled both libraries in the previous preference option.)
If you are using iTRACK's built in Profile Builder for your Learning Journey's, you can select here whether you want to use the Original EYFS curriculum or the Early Adopters framework when recording observations.
Early Adopters Label Names
(This will only appear when you have either Early Adopters or both libraries enabled.)
Here you have the ability to rename your Early Adopters bands to suit your requirements. Simply type your chosen name and structure into the textboxes. If you do not wish to use any of the bands, just enter a '-' or 'N/A', and you must ensure you use the bottom 'Expected' band to mark as your Early Learning Goal and work backwards. See below:
This is how your Early Adopters bands will appear throughout iTRACK.
Sub-Score Label Names
The iTRACK default language is 'some/most/all', however if you want to rename your sub-scores, you can do that here using the textboxes. See the example below:
These will then appear in your iTRACK account, regardless of which EYFS library you are using.
Pupil Results
Here, you can set by default whether you would prefer to use your First Assessment (Baseline) for comparisons when viewing your Autumn (AP1) data, or if you would prefer to compare from Nursery Summer (EoY). This often depends on how your school baselines your pupils.
Nursery Years
It is possible to enable up to 4 nursery years. By default, only a single year of Nursery is enabled but you can select whichever number you require from the dropdown.
Year Labels
You can rename your EYFS cohorts to reflect your school. Simply type your chosen names in the textboxes for whichever EYFS years you have enabled.
Number of Assessment Points
This allows you to select how many times a year you would like to make an assessment - whether it be termly (3), half termly(6), or anywhere in between(4-5). Remember you will have your Baseline/First Assessment IN ADDITION to the number you select here.
Display First Assessment
If you wish to have a First Assessment (Baseline), you can simply tick which of your EYFS year groups you would like to have it for. By default, all your enabled year groups will have one.
Reception Baseline
The 'Reception Baseline' is named differently to your 'First Assessment'. This refers to numeric baselines which may involve Standardised/Scaled Scores. Click use Reception Baseline if you wish to enable this functionality, or you can opt for the default position do not use Reception Baseline.
GLD
Regardless of which curriculum you are using, iTRACK breaks the 'Expected' band down into the 3 customisable sub-scores. This is important when it comes to calculating your GLD (which can be seen on the 'Cohort Attainment' page).
Here you should select which sub-score of 'expected' is your threshold for the GLD calculation, which can vary depending on how you use your sub-scores in school.
Profile Builder Objectives
If you are using iTRACK's Profile Builder, this is an important option.
Link objectives will allow you to tick your 'full assign' statements off as met whilst you are uploading evidence to your Learning Journey's.
Do not link objectives will keep your uploading of evidence entirely separate from from your 'full assign' ticking of objectives.
Save Changes
You must click Save Changes at the bottom of the page to apply any changes to your preferences.
