The Subject Monitoring page operates in a similar fashion to our Combined Monitoring page (instructions for this here), however it allows for a much greater level of flexibility. It provides a detailed breakdown any subjects of your choice (up to 5) for an individual cohort.
To locate this page, click on the Subject Monitoring tab under the 'Cohort Analysis' sub-heading in the 'KS-KS3' section of the left-hand menu, and fill out the following criteria:
- Year Group: Select the cohort for which you wish to view the data.
- Assessment Year: Select the year of data you wish to analyse, you can look back historically here.
- Assessment No.: Select the assessment point you wish to view.
- Floor Standard: Select the the standard you expect a 'national standard' child to be working at for the time of year you are viewing. If viewing at the end of the year, the floor standard should be 'secure'.
- Press Go.
You will then notice a purple 'show subjects' button appear. Click here and you will be presented by the following table, allowing you to select up to 5 subjects to show on this page. This is particularly useful when analysing the foundation subjects.
In the ‘AVAILABLE SUBJECTS’ column on the left, select which (up to 5) subjects you would like to view and compare. Once you are happy with your selections, press ‘Go’. Please note that these can be changed at any time by deselecting the ‘available subjects’ and selecting new ones.
How the Page Works
Below is a key which explains how this page works, and how to get the most out of your data:
1) Subject Information
You will see an overview for your selected subjects, showing the data from 'Enter Pupil Results' and whether or not they have met your selected floor standard.
2) Sort Arrows
By clicking the arrow, it will sort your pupils into ascending order and then descending order if you click the other arrow. This is great for getting your intervention groups and higher attainers at either end of the table. This process can be repeated for any column heading, anywhere in iTRACK you see the 'arrows' symbol.
3) Floor Standard Met - Yes/No
You will see a green 'Yes' for those who have met your assigned floor standard in all the subjects, and a 'No' for those that haven't. Your percentages for this are below the table.
4) Notes
If you click the little 'speech bubble' icon, an unlimited character textbox will pop up. This will stay with the pupil all the way through school and can be used for any purpose the school sees fit. Documents can be uploaded using the ‘upload notes files’ link (Word/Excel/PDF/Images), with a maximum of 20 files per child. Once you have made your notes, click the save button and icon will change to 'look like it contains text', indicating that the child has notes.
5) Individual Pupil Progress Chart
If you click the little 'chart' icon, you will be taken to the individual pupil's progress chart. This can also be sent direct to parents via our parent portal, instructions for which can be found here.
6) Percentages
You will find all your basic percentages calculated for you underneath the table. It is worth noting that you may be required to scroll down to find this information, and your 'floor standard met' percentages are located at the bottom right-hand side.
