Translating your Report

Once you have created your Report in English for a child, you can translate them in any language you prefer.

1.  Scroll down to the bottom of the Report Writer page, where you will see the Translate button.

2. Click on the TRANSLATE button, a pop up window will open.

3. Click TRANSLATE REPORT.  You will see a list of all the Languages that are available here. Select the language for the report to be translated into. In the image below, Arabic has been selected.

4. You will get a confirmation pop up window to inform you that you are translating from English to your chosen language, in this case English to Arabic. Click OK to translate the Report into Arabic. If you want to cancel this translation, click on CANCEL.

5. Once your report is translated, you will see a list of the languages the report is in, the date created and Pdf and Word formats. In the image below, only Arabic has been translated.

The translated reports can be opened in both Pdf and Word.

When clicking on Pdf pdf_icon.png icon, this will be a Read Only report in Pdf. If you do not have permission for Pdf on your school laptop or computer you can open the report in Word. Please Note: some language text formatting may not appear correctly in Pdf, open the Report in Word and select Print option and send to Adobe print or Save as Pdf, (depending on your word setting print settinngs).

Clicking on the Word word_icon.png icon, the report will open in Word, with the Arabic translation. You can format the table only in this document if you wish, click Save and Upload this Report to the Parent App.

In the example, the report in Arabic looks like this image below:

Please Note: Once the report is translated for the child and you click Translate Report again for the same language, this will overwrite the existing report.

6. Now you are ready to send this report to the parent(s), by clicking on the button Send to Parents

7. If your report has been published to the Parent App, the Publish Status: will state Published. The image below states Unpublished, meaning the Report has NOT been uploaded to the Parent App Portal.

8. Voila you have translated one of your pupil's report.
