The Subject Tracking page is a simple, visual way to view the attainment of your cohort for a particular subject/subset, and is often used by subject leaders.
Locate the page under the 'Cohort Analysis' sub-heading in the 'KS1-KS3' section of the left-hand menu, and fill out the following criteria:
- Year Group: Select the cohort for which you wish to view the data.
- Subject: Select the subject you wish to view.
- Subset: Select the subset/component you wish to view. If you are using 'iTRACK Lite Mode' this dropdown will be unavailable. However if enabled, will contain both units of study any additional assessments.
- Include Leavers: This will default to say 'no'. Change it to 'yes' if you wish to include the children marked as leavers in your data.
- Press Go.
You will then see a table containing all your data for that cohort, from EYFS up until the point in time you selected above.
How the Page Works
You can use the following chart to explain all the key features for this page:
1) Open Filters
You can use this button to filter all the data tables by any of your Attributes, which is really useful for analysing your key groups of children. The mandatory, nationally recognised groups are under the 'Core Filters' tab, and any set up by your school will be under 'School Filters'.
2) Export to Excel
If you wish to analyse this data further, you can click the ‘Export to Excel’ button to generate an Excel file containing this data. Each group will be presented on a separate worksheet within the file.
3) Sort Arrows
By clicking the arrow, it will sort your pupils into ascending order and then descending order if you click the other arrow. This is great for getting your intervention groups and higher attainers at either end of the table. This process can be repeated for any column heading, anywhere in iTRACK you see the 'arrows' symbol.
4) Expand/Collapse Year Groups
By clicking the Year Group header, you can choose to expand or collapse that year of data. By default, iTRACK will always show the full year group the pupil is in, and then just previous end of year. However you can always look back historically if you need to.
5) Current Year Group
By default, iTRACK will always show the full year group of data the pupil is in, and then just previous end of year. However you can always look back historically if you need to by expanding/collapsing the column headers (as shown above).
6) Percentages
You will find all your percentages calculated underneath the table. It is worth noting that you may be required to scroll down to find this information. Please not that for additional assessments, this is only available for 'numeric' data.
