The Cohort Progress page is a way of viewing whether or not the full cohort, as a collective, have made any improvement on their journey through school.
To view this page, locate the Cohort Progress tab under the 'Cohort Analysis' sub-heading in the KS1-KS3 section of the left-hand menu, and select the appropriate criteria:
- Year Group: Select the cohort for which you wish to view the data.
- Subject: Select the the subset you wish to analyse
- Subset: Select the area of the subject you wish to view. This will NOT be available when using 'iTRACK Lite Mode'
- Press Go.
Here, you will find all your attainment percentages/numbers of children (in brackets) for the cohort you selected at the top of the page, with their historic data below for every previous year - you will have to scroll down to see it. This is great for monitoring improvement in your 'expected of better percentages'.
How the Page Works
1) Open Filters
You can use this button to filter all the data tables by any of your Attributes, which is really useful for analysing your key groups of children. The mandatory, nationally recognised groups are under the 'Core Filters' tab, and any set up by your school will be under 'School Filters'.
2) Absolute Percentages Toggle
By clicking this button in the 'Display Options' section, the data will be displayed in the 'absolute percentages' format (which is the default setting). This is where it gives you the percentage/(number) of children working at each assessment standard, with the total being 100%.
3) Cumulative Percentages Toggle
By clicking this button in the 'Display Options' section, the data will swap into 'cumulative percentage' format. This is where it gives you the percentage/(number) of children working 'at and above' each assessment standard, which is why they add up to more than 100%.
4) Pupil Pop Up
Clicking on any of the cells containing data will reveal the names of the pupils contained in that that percentage/number. If you click the cell where it says ‘total’, you will see a list of all your pupils. If you click on the cell which says ‘Year 1’, you will get a list of all your Year 1 pupils etc. This list is easily printable by clicking the ‘print this report’ link. To close it down, either click out of the pop up or use the x symbol.
5) Secure or Better
Here you will find your percentage/(number) who were, using the iTRACK default language, 'secure or better'. This can then be compared the the floor standard below it of 65%, and you can do this for each of your cohort's historic years.
