On the Enter Pupil Results page, there is an optional, customisable column which can be enabled in your school preferences. Before you decide to rename it, by default this will be called 'Test Score' (formerly named 'Additional Assessments') and can be found here:
By populating this column with your supplementary test data, you can begin to analyse it using the Assessment Results tab. This is located under the 'Cohort Analysis' sub-heading in the 'KS1-KS3' section of the left-hand menu, and you must fill out the following criteria:
- Year Group: Select the cohort of children you wish to look at.
- Academic Year: Select the year of information you wish to view. This is especially useful for viewing historic data.
- Subject: Select the subject you wish to view.
- Include Leavers: This will default to say 'no'. Change it to 'yes' if you wish to include the children marked as leavers in your data.
- Go: Press Go to get your Assessment Results table.
How the Page Works
Using the following key, you can understand what the page is designed to show and how to get the most out of your data:
1) Open Filters
You can use this button to filter all the data tables by any of your Attributes, which is really useful for analysing your key groups of children. The mandatory, nationally recognised groups are under the 'Core Filters' tab, and any set up by your school will be under 'School Filters'.
2) Show AP Difference Toggle
You can use this button to to toggle the termly difference column in and out of your data.
3) Show KS Difference Toggle
You can use this button to to toggle the Keystage difference column in and out of your data. This is useful if your tests do not give a grade that can usefully be compared with KS1 data. In such a case, you may wish to hide this column.
4) Export to Excel
If you wish to analyse this data further, you can click the ‘Export to Excel’ button to generate an Excel file containing this data. Each group will be presented on a separate worksheet within the file.
5) Notes
If you click the little 'speech bubble' icon, an unlimited character textbox will pop up. This will stay with the pupil all the way through school and can be used for any purpose the school sees fit. Documents can be uploaded using the ‘upload notes files’ link (Word/Excel/PDF/Images), with a maximum of 20 files per child. Once you have made your notes, click the save button and icon will change to 'look like it contains text', indicating that the child has notes.
6) Individual Pupil Progress Chart
If you click the little 'chart' icon, you will be taken to the individual pupil's progress chart. This can also be sent direct to parents via our parent portal, instructions for which can be found here.
7) Average Row
Here you will see the average for your cohort, as well as the average differences between Assessment Point and KS Results.
