The Combined Dashboard page provides a quick summary of your attainment data for your 'combined' Reading, Writing and Maths. It will show both percentages and numbers of children (in brackets), across all the different combinations of each of the 3 subjects.
To access this, simply go to the Combined Dashboard tab under the 'School Analysis' sub-heading in the 'KS1-KS3' section of the left-hand menu. You then need to fill out the appropriate criteria.
- Year: Select the year of information you wish to view. You can look back historically here.
- Assessment No: Select the assessment point you wish to view.
- Floor Standard: Select the standard you expect a 'national standard' child to be working at for the time of year you are viewing.
- Press Go.
By default, the page will show Reading, Writing & Maths, as these are the most important combined subjects. However, you can use the purple 'Show Subjects' button if you wish to view a different (up to) 3 subjects.
Once the blue box appears, you can deselect R, W & M and then tick the subjects you wish to view:
What Does the Data Mean?
You will notice that a series of tables have appeared, that can be divided into 3 sets of information, explained as follows.
1) All 3 Subjects Combined
On the left (COMBINED: RWM), under the 'Yes' column are the children who have achieved your selected 'floor standard' in all of Reading, Writing & Maths. The 'No' column is all the pupils who have a gap in one or more of the 3 subjects.
On the right (COMBINED: NONE), under the 'Yes' column are the children who have not met your selected 'floor standard' in all 3 subjects. The 'No' column is all the pupils who have met your 'floor standard' in 1 or more of the 3 subjects.'
2) Different Combinations of 2 Subjects
Here you can see all the combinations of those who have met your 'floor standard' in 2 out of the 3 subjects: Reading & Writing (left), Reading & Maths (middle), Writing & Maths (right).
3) Individual Subjects
Here you can see the children who have achieved your selected 'floor standard' in each individual subject.
Getting the Most Out of Your Data
To extract more meaningful information from your Attainment Dashboard, you can use the following hints and tips:
1) Open Filters
You can use this button to filter all the data tables by any of your Attributes, which is useful for cross-referencing groups. For example, when viewing an individual subject, if you click to open your filters and were to select your Pupil Premium children, then the Boys v Girls table below would represent your Pupil Premium Boys v Pupil Premium Girls.
2) Select Your Floor Standard
Here you must select the appropriate floor standard for the time of year you are viewing. This is useful for calculating 'on-track' pupils in Autumn and Spring.
3) Table Toggle
By clicking this button in the 'Display Options' section, the data will swap from graphical to tabular format. Please note you can click on any cell within any table to reveal a list of the pupil names (see point 6 below).
4) Bar Chart Toggle
By clicking this button in the 'Display Options' section, the data will swap from tabular form into Bar Charts. You can revert to tables by clicking the ‘Table’ button. These graphs can either be expanded into individual cohorts using the symbol, or downloaded using the purple 'DOWNLOAD IMAGE' button.
5) Export to Excel
If you wish to analyse this data further, you can click the ‘Export to Excel’ button to generate an Excel file containing this data. Each group will be presented on a separate worksheet within the file.
6) Pupil Pop Up
Clicking on any of the cells containing data will reveal the names of the pupils contained in that that percentage/number. If you click the cell where it says ‘total’, you will see a list of all your pupils. If you click on the cell which says ‘Year 1n’, you will get a list of all your Year 1 pupils etc. This list is easily printable by clicking the ‘print this report’ link. To close it down, either click out of the pop up or use the x symbol.
