When Entering Assessments within iASEND, if you select the A curriculum you will notice coloured tags next to most objectives within the first 4 subjects. If you hover over the tag, next to the objective, it shows which area of engagement it relates to.
To view the progress and attainment of the areas of Engagement:
Step 1: Select the ‘5 Areas Analysis’ on the menu on the left hand side.
Step 2: Select the Assessment Year and the Number of previous years if you wish to view historic data for.
Step 3: Select a pupil.
Each depth of learning has points allocated to it. This means that if a pupil is at Shallow in an objective, they are assigned 1 point; emerging 2; developing 3; deepening 4 and functional 5.
The total shows the number of points available for each strand and how many points the child has achieved at this specific assessment period.
The chart above shows the percentage of attainment in each area of the Engagement Model in each assessment period.
The chart below shows in a line graph model, the percentage of attainment in each area of the Engagement Model in each assessment period.
