Traditional data entry (data entry by Unit of Study)
- Select ‘Enter Assessments’ in the menu on the left hand side within iASEND.
- Select the Assessment Period, the Subject and the Component.
- The components are listed with the curriculum you can asses for that component in brackets after it. In this data entry the A curriculum sits separately as it isn't subject specific.

- Select the child.
- Enter the assessment by selecting the dot correlating to the statement in which you have chosen to assess against.
Please note: You do not need to click every step. If a child has progressed from Shallow to Deepening, click on Deepening.
Assessing multiple objectives
To assess several objectives at once, select the square next to the objectives you want to move and then select the assessment grading required.
To assess the whole component use the Quick-assign option.
Lite mode data entry (data entry by Curriculum)
Lite mode allows you to assess an entire curriculum rather than clicking between the different components.
Here you can Quick-assign the entire curriculum or individual components (as above).
Assessing multiple pupils
To assess several children at the same time, select the square next to the pupil’s name, then select the assessment. This will populate other pupils that you have selected.
You can also assess multiple pupils on multiple objectives by selecting the pupils and the objectives as above.
Filtering pupils
By default all pupils will appear in the list when you go to enter assessments. To narrow this group, by year group/class/filter:
- Open filters by click the three horizontal lines
- Turn the filter to yes (or the necessary option)
